  1. At that stage my favorite food by far was ..fat free.refried beans with a sprinkle of cheese melted on it. It was quick microwave right out of the can. I ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner:) I also ate s/f jello and pudding with s/f cool whip on top. I tried to eat greek yogurt (I didnt care for it at all!) and applesauce seemed to sweet. I ate about 1/4 cup at a meal. Hope that helps....I still do not eat fried food...but chick-fil-a has grilled chicken strips too! I would wait until you are on solids though.
  2. I believe a baby is a gift from God anytime and everytime. So I am thrilled for you! congratulations to you and your family... I pray some with experience chime in...love to follow your progress!
  3. Yippie. I remember that day! You may gain a little with TOM but it is just fluids and they dont stick around... Boot camp will definatly help! your doing great!
  4. I bought some chicken broth (I found way too salty after) bullion cubes s/f Jello Protein powder reuseable Water bottles decafe tea splenda That's about it as far as groceries...I had two weeks to gather the full liquids and I needed to get out of the house by then so that's it. I did send hubby to store for chap stick...should have bought that.
  5. The apple cider is yummy. I also like the vitamin water 0 calories I perfer the apple pear flavored. I also found packets from target (target brand) that are the same flavor you can add to a bottle of water like crystal light I have a special K2) every dayI suggest NO matter what everyone else is doing...follow your doctors orders! You can make it...I didnt get 64 ounces of fluid in until like 4 months out...just work at it everyday and do what you can. I think 40 is great!
  6. That is the recommended amount for any other weight loss program in the world. Remember dieting and wishing for 2 pounds a week...sorry it isnt more but it is going down and that is the goal....I am proud of you for all the changes you are making in your life.
  7. No one has mentioned that the chewable vitamins take a toll on your teeth. My dentist had a complete hissy fit when i saw him at 6 months post op- he said calcium chews (I take 3 a day) are terrible for your teeth and the flinstones I take 2 times a day are also terrible for my teeth. I would rather have dentures at 60 than die at 45 of obesity. But wish I had known. Also, I wish I had know there was a possibility that I would be left with a tiny waist, tiny hips, tiny legs and teny tiny BOOBIES!- never heard anyone complain before hand...again a trade off I would have taken gladly but would have been nice to anticipate and not been shocked that apparently all the fatty tissue that make up these things would disappear. Am I the only one?
  8. I would have rinsed my mouth put but then spit it out...I am careful not to drink 30 mins before or after eating my stomach doesnt like it even if it is around 20mins (I have forgotten a few times and it hurt).
  9. I have heard that for some people their bodies just flip out on them and try their hardest to figure out what you are doing to them. For some I guess it takes a few weeks for their bodies the to catch up. I have faith that if you follow your surgeon and nutritionists guidelines you will succeed! Please keep us (or at least me) posted on your next few weeks and try not to get down. Oh by the way are you seeing inches come off? How are your clothes fitting?
  10. Congratulations, and welcome to the losers bench! Sounds like you have got a handle on how to take good care of your self!
  11. yum that sounds good key...I never could handle greek yogurt but that may work...There are some recpies out on the www for protein ice cream...always wanted to try one but havent yet...what about freezing your yogurt like the gogurt for kids? I also shave ice for snowcones and add sugar free syrups...yummy.
  12. No no no....hang in there girl...stay away from junk and concentrate on getting to your goal! I know you can do it:)
  13. I was wondering the same things...how much are you eating at one time...when does the pain come? Are you asking if the pain is hunger or do you feel hunger and pain?
  14. In my opinion you are doing well but if you feel insure then maybe you should call your dr or hospital with questions. Is that possible? I came home with liquid medications and prilosec and I opened the capsule and poured the contents on my tongue. What meds are you taking?
  15. God is good ALL the time...you've got that right!!! Saying a prayer all goes well!
  16. Valentine's Day here you come!!! I'll say a prayer that you have a great surgery and a quick recovery...Cant wait to see your post -op posts!
  17. Great to hear about your success. I am sure your post will encourage someone struggling!
  18. Oh I dont think I followed the directions...So for the same month and year we have: Dec '10 238.5
  19. Dec '10 with my 111.5 we are at a total of.... 515.5 Pounds
  20. For me....I started to lose it at 3 months out in clumps...like I was having radiation. By 4.5 months I was really freaking out so I got my hair cut short so it seemed like less...It continued to fall out at a steady pace until 8 months. Everyone is different but I have found that even now if I dont get enough protein for more than 2 days in a row my hair falls out. So most important for me is protein but I also take a supplement from GNC called B-beautiful. I buy them when they are on sale buy one get one free. I have noticed a difference in my hair regrowth since but it took about 3-4 weeks to make a difference. It also makes my nails grow like crazy and is great for my skin:) My hair stylist says she can see the regrowth coming but it is way slower than pre op...but I decided (after freaking out for a while about it)...I would be ok wearing a wig and being healthy and not obese!
  21. Look at you girl!!! 1 pound away from goal! Cant wait to see a post soon!
  22. I have only tried a banana once about 3 months out but it was horrible...havent tried it since I dont get along with a large amount of rice and pasta but a little here and there is fine One funny thing is, I love milk, cheese (of all kinds) and cottage cheese are staples for me...maybe that will ward off osteporosis later in life? I'll bet I could stop taking 3 calcuim supps a day:)
  23. So sorry you are feeling so bad...I dont have any great advice for you but I am saying a prayer for and hope in a week or two we will see a post about how much better you feel!
