  1. I get a bit confused about that. My Nut talks portions too and it seems that it should work on it's own be because of amount limitations, assuming you are making wise choices. I'd rather try portions than track calories. Do you track calories at all or just go for a ballpark estimate?
  2. Congratulations. I go in the day before you. Best of luck!
  3. I had 2 Pulmonary embolisms after my surgery for kidney stones. I had an allergic reaction to the lovenox though. I took cumadin for 6 months. Wonder what they'll have me do this time.
  4. carynw I'm being banded just 4 days after you. Good luck!
  5. Well, they just sent me a list in the mail about the pre-op tests I had to take a couple of days after I was approved. I haven't seen anyone in person since then.
  6. I was really trying to find out about the chemically induced stress test for the heart. Has anyone had it? What is it like? Sounds scary and I have to have one.
  7. I hear the chemical one is pretty awful.
  8. Did any of you have to have the Cardiovascular Stress Test before your surgery? I would rather have tried a treadmill, but this is what my surgeon wants me to do. Sounds pretty painful.
  9. I think I'll order the dogtag. Good idea!
  10. Yay! I got my approval today and I'll be banded on August 15 at 2:00 p.m. I wonder if they'll let me go home that night if I'm having it done that late? Anybody have it done that late who went home the same day?
  11. That's about what I was thinking. It's mostly like bouillon powder with some very small parsley flakes floating around in it. More for looks than taste I think.
  12. I haven't been banded yet, but I asked my surgeon and he said Cigna paid for the fills.
  13. I was told I could have one cup in the morning.
  14. I have a couple of boxes of HMR Chickren soup. It's a dry packet you mix with hot water. It looks like broth with some little herbs floating around in it. It's not too bad tasting. I'm wondering if I can use this when I'm supposed to be having broth or if I need to wait until mushies come my way.
  15. Yeah, I'm dealing with Sciatica now as well. Awful stuff. Hoping the wait loss will take it away.
  16. Welcome Ken. I just submitted my paperwork and I'm waiting to hear from the insurance co. Let us know how things go.
