  4. I'm 6 weeks post op and I have had a couple glasses of wine already. The main reason your told not to drink is because it's empty calories. I've had zero reactions and have not noticed a large decrease in my tolerance. I don't recommend anything carbonated though.
  5. I'm about 3 weeks post op and this is happening to me all the time. I take meds daily for reflux so im not sure why I am still nauseated all the time. It gets worse as I eat, and I only eat a bit or 2 in one "meal." Hopefully some reflux meds work for you!
  6. Happened to me too. I'm was sleeved 4/24. I'm 24 yrs old. It's goes away after a couple weeks.
  7. I didn't mind the powders pre-op. Post op was a totally different story. I hate them now! So needless to say im not even coming close to my protein intake as I am 8 days post op. Thank you for sharing the Isopure drinks. I will need to try them for sure. DPS Nutrition has them for $42 bucks for 12 bottles. Pricey yes but hopefully worth it.
  8. I was back to work 6 days post-op. I am a Financial Manager for a large law firm so its mainly desk work. I only went back 6 hrs a day for that first week but now I am back full time. The hardest part is that you are tired and weak from the lack of calories.
  9. I am 8 days out and started my puréed diet per my doctors instructions. I was on clears for one day and full liquids for a week.
  10. I'm excited to start purée as well! It's not so much because I'm craving thoses foods but because I want something to chew. I'm so sick of liquids! Lol
  11. I'm now 5 days post op and feel great. Very little pain and and hardly ever hungry. I'm VERY bored with liquids and soups already. I have had a little chili and other things that's aren't in my diet until next week. Hopefully I'm not hurting anything, I feel fine and only take a couple bites and I'm done. I started at 322pds and was 308 day of surgery. Today I was 295. Down 13pds in 5 days!!!
  12. I had surgery on 4/24 with a hiatal hernia repair. My surgeon didn't know about the hernia until he got into the surgery. He fixed everything while he was in there. I'm 24 6'3 and started at 325 pds. Day of surgery I was 315. I'm down to 305 only 4 days post op. My goal is 200-225ish.
  13. I'm 3 days post op and first day home. I think it's easier to drink warm liquids rather than cold. Try some warm broth. Just keep sipping allday long. Never keep water more than an arm reach away. It's gets better everyday.
  14. Had my surgery in Saranac Lake NY by surgeon Michael Hill. Was a great experience. Everyone at the hospital was amazing. I am doing very well. I'm home and still taking pain meds but feel well. Trying to get my water in, it's hard to do at first but I just keep sipping!
  15. Surgery went well. Was discharged today and am now home. I will keep everyone updated on the recovery.
