  1. My DR doesnt require liquids after a fill. I was just told if solids were uncomfortable then to go back to liquids or mushies for a day or two. I have experienced two stuck episodes and I hope I don't go for number three!
  2. Good luck Lisa! Let us know how you are doing after your surgery!
  3. I actually started my pre-op 2 days late. Once i started it I did stick to it until the end! I lost 7 pounds and that was enough for my DR.
  4. Don't forget to vote for Henriikka. You can vote once every 24 hours!!!!
  5. No last meal for me either. I followed my diet right up intil the end! I was too scared something would go wrong and they wouldn't place the band!
  6. Everyone don't forget to vote for Henrikka!
  7. The band is a great choice! I just know you will win! So many people are voting for you!
  8. Yes it is normal. I still have some tenderness in my port at almost 5 weeks out. At 3 weeks it was still pretty sore and I still had a bruise in that area
  9. Yep I weigh daily. 6 months ago I only stepped on a scale at the Doctor's office.
  10. Congratulations on your band surgery! I like EAS advantage shakes in the French vanilla. You should ask your DR about exercise. All Dr's have differnet rules about eating, drinking and exercising!
  11. I don't think I will ever try to eat bread. I got stuck on some tuna and a second time on a peice of cantelope. No way I will try bread. I am just too scared! So far I am not missing bread. But steak...that is another story. I do miss steak, but not enough to eat it yet. I am just a scaredy cat!
  12. Sorry I posted some long winded reply and I don't know where it went!!
  13. Almost there now. You will do great! Excited and scared are very normal!!! Number one thing you will need is Gas-x strips in case you have gas. Maybe you will not need this but if you do it will be a life saver. Stock up on Protein drinks. I drank (and still do) EAS advantage. I purchase by the case at Sam's. They have 17 g protein and only 1 carb with about 110 calories You may want to have some sugar free Jello and sugar free popsicles Some people say a heating pad is great. I never used one. If you are one to get tired of Water then get you some other types of juice drink, like apple, pineapple or cranberry. Hope this helps you.
  14. I continue to cast my vote daily! I just hope all this gets you the winning ticket. Definitely look into the fills though. I would hate for you to get the band and not the after care. I sympathize with you with the toddler getting something at pre school. Mine was fine yesterday AM when I left her at day care. By noon she was running fever. Took her to the DR and she has yet another ear infection!!
  15. Welcome to Lap Band Talk!!! Good luck. Not sure if I would have survived someone hitting me in the stomach.
  16. I drink it black so extra calories
  17. Yes I did! I was never told to give it up. After surgery coffee did not taste good the first week. But now it tastes fine!
  18. Of course he deserved it! What a jerk.
  19. That's terrific!!! Good luck and let us know how you are!
  20. I had some pretty bad back pain about one week after surgery. It lasted several days. I decided it was gas pains because I started taking my gas-x strips again and the pain stopped.
  21. My doctor said only liquids for 5 hours prior to the procedure. The procedure was fine, almost pain free. I am hungry now due to no solids all day. I am a little scared to eat much so right now am trying to get down some greek yogurt.
  22. Just wondering how it went. I was so nervous and for me the actual fill was almost pain free. I do feel, for lack of better words, weird now!
