  1. Welcome back to the 'band wagon'. I had surgery on January 24th, and I was suppose to be on liquids for almost 2 weeks, after abiut 5-7 days I was so famished that I started to cheat and eat real food. So I ended up gaining 5 pounds back...now I am fighting hard...working out and trying to lose that extra 5 pounds before my fill on Tuesday. I know I will have to be on a liquid diet for a few days, lets hope I can hold it together and really keep to the restrictions they require. The really haven't said ...Do you know if I have to do anything special before a fill?
  2. I clicked on your entry cause I am going in for my first fill and I am a bit scared of what to expect. There has been a ton of people, saying a ton of different things. I wish you luck. Congrats on deciding to get back on the 'band wagon'. Haha no pun intened. JuLz

Today is day five for me. The pain is minimal but I am terrified that I will get something lodged in my band and I will start puking. I do struggle a bit with taking all my medications that I need to take. I use a pill splitter and a scissor, but still it is a struggle. To get the water and pills down without filling my pouch. I am sure I will adjust in time. I am feeling some cravings of foods I loved pre-banding but know that it is not something I can having right now. For Instance, I would love to go purchase a hamburger from McDonald's. A big juicy one like a McDouble...hmmmm. I don't know why I am craving things like this now, when I didn't really like them before. Hooray I am down 19 pounds total today!!! I do have several friends now that are watching hows this works for me and then if it is successful they will do it. It seems like a bit of pressure, probably pressure I don't really need right now. ..
  7. I was also banded on January 24. How is it going for you this far? Do you have a lot of diarrehea and gas upset?
  8. Hello Everyone, I was banded on January 24, 2011. I am a bit scared, happy, and excited. I lost 13 pounds before my surgery but none since. I believe my first fill is set for Feb. 22, 2011. I look forward to learning alot from everyone here. JuLz
