I am scheduled to be banded on 1/24/2011 and am getting VERY nervous about the general anesthesia aspect of the procedure. Can anyone help put my mind at ease??

I was nervous, too, but everything turned out fine for me. I was banded Jan 14th and was so worried about anesthesia, but they had me knocked out so fast once getting into the OR that I really had little time to think about it. Mention to your anesthesiologist that you are nervous and let him or her reassure you. I'm sure everything will be just fine and you'll wake up thankful the procedure is behind you. I was also banded on January 24. How is it going for you this far? Do you have a lot of diarrehea and gas upset?
