I JUST WANT TO SAY THERE IS HOPE FOR US GIRLS!!!!!! IM 21 YEARS OLD AND I SPENT THE LAST 3 YEARS WITH A COMPLETE JERK I WENT INTO THE RELATIONSHIP LOOKING AMAZING WEIGHING ONLY 121 POUNDS STANDING AT BARELY 5FT TALL!!!! I HAD A HORRIBLE EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL RELATIONSHIP SO I DECIDED TO HAVE LAPBAND SURGERY FEB. 2ND. I WENT INTO SURGERY WEIGHING 208. I WAS STILL IN THE HORRIBLE RELATIONSHIP AND I WAS TO GET MARRIED APRIL 16TH 2011. APRIL 15TH 2011 I WEIGHED 189 SO I BARELY LOST ANY WEIGHT SINCE SURGERY. THE DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING I DECIDED FINALLY IT WAS TIME FOR ME TO DO WHAT WAS BEST FOR ME AND I LEFT MY FIANCE!!!! IT WAS THE HARDEST DECISION IN MY LIFE BUT NOW TODAY I COULDNT BE HAPPIER!!! SINCE I GOT RID OF SOMETHING THAT WAS STRESSFUL IN MY LIFE TODAY OCTOBER 4TH 2011 I WEIGH 137!!!!! I FEEL GREAT I FEEL AMAZING AND SO MANY GUYS ARE LOOKING AT ME AND GIVING ME RESPECT AND ACTUALLY ARE LIKING ME FOR WHO I AM!! NOT BECAUSE IM SKINNIER BUT BECAUSE I AM ACTUALLY HAPPY WITH MYSELF AND BEING MYSELF!!! I WANT EVERY FEMALE TO KNOW THAT ITS OKAY TO DO SOMETHING THAT YOU KNOW IS THE BEST THING FOR YOU TO DO TO MAKE YOURSELF HAPPY WITH YOURSELF AGAIN!!!! I DONT REGRET IT AT ALL! I KNOW I CAN DO BETTER BUT I ALSO KNEW I COULDNT BE HAPPY WITH MYSELF UNTIL I GOT RID OF THE NUMBER ONE MOST STRESSFUL THING IN MY LIFE! SO BELIEVE LADIES AND HAVE HOPE THAT YOU CAN MAKE YOURSELF HAPPY AGAIN!!!!

I feel the same way!!!! Before surgery I wore a size 16 in pants my surgery was feb 2nd and before surgery I weighed 208 today I weigh 186 but its stuck there even tho now I can hardly keep my size 13 pants up on my waist I finally have said screw it and bought a few black jogging pants and I'm just wearing those I'm not buy clothes til I get to where I want to be. But I can tell my waist is getting smaller and my legs even tho the scale won't move

Well dry chicken just won't stay down idk why everything else is perfectly fine. It doesn't matter if I chew dry chicken 50 times its coming back up its feels as if it sits in the back of my throat like I can't swallow it. I do drink protein shakes to try to get enough protein in but I rly doubt I even get enough calories prolly like 600 a day if that

The way I look at is atleast its better than a soda and atleast we aren't just mixing regular sugar kool aid with water so I say keep on drinking it.

Omg I think I'm way out of whack or something everyone of y'all eat way more than I do for breakfast I eat a egg cheese and sausage tortilla thing. Then most days I skip lunch if I do eat lunch its a lean cuisine then dinner I eat either pieces of a whole chicken I cook in the crockpot or I eat steak with brocolli and cheese but I only eat like 6 bites of dinner then I'm done. The chicken in the crockpot is the only chicken I have found I can eat since it sits in a cup of water and cooks so its rly rly moist to where it just falls apart. Maybe I should try eating more idk

Rly depends on what ur dr allows u to eat 5 days after my surgery my dr let me go to solids so I was eating meats and green vegis.

Don't stress it. Everyone feels that way at first. My dr told me before I had my surgery that its going to be sad cuz we r giving up our best friend its like our best friend suddenly became our enemy and its depressing. But it gets better when u see the scale going down! Good luck!

So the fiance and I decided to have a date night. He took me to applebees and these local college cheerleaders walk in and set at the table beside us. way to make someone feel even more bad about themselves cuz my fiance starred at them the whole tim so not only did we not talk the whole time but I had to watch him stare at the cheerleaders. Like seriously wtf! I told him I don't appreciate how I'm the one who is always there for him thru everything and he doesn't even sleep with me but when a girl in a cheerleading outfit walks in the whole time he is thinking how he wants to sleep with her. And he responds saying she is attractive! Wow thank u for reminding me I let myself get fat and unattractive thank u it means so much! So wat have I done cried the rest of the night!

If u over eat one time is that going to do any damage besides hurt lol cuz I accidently just did now my left side hurts rly bad and I'm scared what if it stretches the stoma out

My dr warned me ahead of time I may go thru depression because its like food was my best friend for so long and suddenly has become my enemy so I lost my best friend and that's depressing. He also advised me that if I don't eat right and get my vitamins and supplements it will lower my energy and could become depressed cuz mentally I will not feel good.

I got my first fill 3 wks after surgery and I have another in 3 wks. My dr does once a month. If I was you I would go back to that dr office and refuse to leave til u got a fill because ur paying for it not him so he can get over it. U have every right to get a fill at this time and if he still refuses I would give him the finger and walk away and never go back. He is a dr. Drs are suppose to help patients who want to better their lifes and become healthy and if he isn't willing to help anytime then he is a cruddy dr. Good luck but I rly think ur better off going somewhere else!

I got a fill today and I have a rly bad headache I'm assuming its from trying to quit smoking but is there anything I can take for it?

I just looked it up and u have to do liquids after the band to let the stoma heal and rest

2cc went into the band my dr is alittle concerned tho because during my surgery he used the 10 cc band and had to do a fill then just cuz the band was to loose so he put 2 cc in today and said I'm prolly still not gonna have much restriction yet. My dr said I can start solids again tomorrow afternoon that in the morning my band is going to feel rly tight since gravity will take over while laying down lol. I haven't figured out why u have to do liquids after fills? Any idea

So I just had my first fill this morning yay it didn't hurt but I'm extremely hungry right now! Ugh

I'm so glad I saw this post! my dr did not make me quit smoking but I have promised my fiance I would get after my surgery. Well I had surgery feb 2nd and we started chantix feb 14th. I'm not sure how its working. I honestly think trying to go thru this change of diet and eating habits and also giving up smoking all together is harder than I thought. I just hope things get better!

I can't wait to lose my belly! I look prego! I've lost weight in my thighs and my fiancee has noticed that. He says he can actually grab them now! So now I just look like a normal pregnant person and I'm not even pregnant! My arms and legs are a lot smaller than my stomache and I'm short and I walk like a duck alrdy so everyone prolly thinks I'm prego and my water is abt to break ugh lol

So I'm 2 wks post op today and have been engaged for over a yr now and I had to walk away tonight and stay with my parents. I feel as if my fiance wants me to baby him like his mom does since he is an only child. Since surgery our relationship is a disaster we argue every day and almost every time he brings up if I would of just kept my mouth shut for the past few yrs I never would of needed WLS. That hurts so bad. Its not like any of us wanted to be like this. I just don't know what to do. ugh oh and to top it off I go back to work tomorrow and when I packed some things and left our house he didn't even call or text me he didn't even get out of bed when I walked out the door. fml

I called this apt my pre surgery consultation!!! I spent half the day there getting blood drawn testing my heart and meeting with the dr and then meeting with a nutrionist then I was told to start my pre op diet the next day cuz surgery was in 2 wks!!! Goodluck! Its rly easy day just a lot of meeting dif ppl and learning some things!
