  1. Yes, Im having those pains now. I cant lay on that side of my stomach either. Also like you, I'm nervous about it. I get the pain and soreness periodically and the Doctor says it's due to a muscle strian. I finally asked for an upper GI and it revealed more than that. Either a slippage or a prolapse. Don't know yet. I dont want surgery again.
  2. I have bad reflux too at night. It also shot up to my nose once the other night. I went for a swallow Friday but have to wait until Wednesday to find out my fate. The radiologist said WOW! how long ago was your last fill? Then he played it off, and thats what's worrying me. It's been 3 mos. since my last fill, and I had some of this going on even before then. I have been miserable with reflux every since. I know that Im too tight and that I have to be unfilled. The pain I have is very tender up top, especially when jiggled. the way my stomach is protruding upward, I believe that it has prolapsed over the band. Hopefully it can be repaired without me losing my band.
  3. I'm glad to hear that all is well now. I had a GI swallow this morning due to pain, weight gain and reflux. Doc said that I was entirely too tight but my surgeon will talk to me about it on my next visit. I'm afraid he will tell me that it's also a slippage. It's nice to hear that someone else has gone through this also and with a good outcome. Nevertheless; I still don't know what my outcome is. I guess I'll know next week. And you are right, I really dont want to lose my band and gain the weight back. Pray that all goes well.
  4. Yes, I'm going through it now. pain that comes and goes every other month and stay for 1-2 wks. Gaining weight and already too tight, Not to mention the bad acid reflux at night. I had an upper GI today, and will find out where it goes from there after I see my Doc next Week. I can rule out a leak I guess since Im so tight. but the waiting is tearing my nerves up. My Doc had never done flouro either, and it always seem as if he's guessing. He's a good Doctor and also very stern, almost rude. Hopefully all I need is an unfill!
  5. yes, I thought that I was the only one that have this going on. Periodically it comes and stay about 2 weeks and go away for 7-8 weeks and the cycle continues. every time the doc says it's a pulled muscle and asked if I had been throwing up. This last time is the worse. Pain lasting longer and it hurts to take a deep breath. I'm already too tight with little restriction and a lot of acid reflux. I have even gained a few lbs. Going in for an upper GI in the morning. afraid of a slippage or something worse.
  6. I cant have the full TT, I wish I could. Yes, he said that he could make me a belly button if I really wanted it, otherwise I would lose it. I would think that I would miss it after having one for 53+ yrs. how long was ur recovery time. I did hear that it was painful though, Im a whimp! I couldn't find ur before and after pics.
  7. I saw my Plastic Surgeon and he said that because I have a scar from a gallbladder removal 20 yrs ago, that I couldn't have a full TT. He said that the lower hanging tummy could come off, and how would I feel about losing my belly button. Anyone else been there? What did you do or What would you do?
  8. I hope we can get back to the way we used feel about this site. I still need support and to talk about whats going on with band. Aug.4. 2009 was my 2yr bandaversary. I've only lost 50 lbs but not feeling too bad about that because I know what I havent't been doing to get to a better weight loss. today, I walked with my daughter and felt good again. Im getting myself back on track and intend to go ahead and have a mini tuck and everything else that my insurance will pay for. I've now hit my senior yrs but dont want to look or feel like it. for some reason today, the fear that I had of doing that is behind me. I always thought "well, I'm married and not a spring chicken so I dont need to do that". Well, Today I looked in a clothing catalog and saw some very pretty dresses. I havent worn a dress in many a moons. these dresses were sleeveless, so that also means that I have to have my arms done too. I'm going for it. wish me luck!!
  9. I figured it would be that way if I told ppl. thats why I never did. I didnt want ppl to watch me eat and everything I eat. next month will be my 2 yr bandaversary. I was told ur not that big so why would u do that. Well, because Im type 2 diabetic and have high bp. since banding, I have come off one of the 2 pills for diabetes and one of the 2 pills for high bp. my cholesterol has never been lower and I feel better about myself. I have only lost 60 lbs but it feels like more. Im not done yet.
  10. I had that problem too. went in for an unfill, he took too much out and I gained about 4lbs within 5-6 wks. went back and had some put back in again and quess what? a little too tight again. at first I was vomiting up everything. Now, it only bothers me at night (acid reflux) bad. coughing and clearing my throat all night. trying to hold on for 1 more wk to see the doc and take just a little bit more out. hopefully this will set me where I need to be.
  11. I am 18 mos out and never had acid reflux or indigestion from my band untill I was too tight. I had to have some taken out because the upflow of acid was terrible at night. along with the coughing and constantly clearing my throat all night was unbearable. after I had some removed, I started having a terrible, terrible upper back pain at night that awakened me. I have to get up and take an anacid before my Dr. prescribed me something. Anyone else have that back pain?
