  1. I bought a Bella Rocket Blender in December for about $25. I used it a couple of times before my surgery in March to experiment and try it out. I have used it everyday since the beginning of March. Well, yesterday, the thing started smoking and chewed up one of the plastic bases. I have looked online at different sites, stores and the actual website for the blender itself. You can not buy replacement parts. You really only order a whole new set. So, it is pretty cheap, but also cheaply made. I have read similar comments from others on that particular brand, so buyer beware. You get what you pay for. I am currently looking into other smaller blenders.
  2. When I was on the clear and full liquid phase, it was a life saver (I'm referring to the Isopure clear beverages). It's not the greatest tasting stuff ever, but better than some other choices. I also found that it was better very cold or over ice. Some people have problems with cold liquids after surgery, so be careful with that. I drank at least one everyday while on the liquid phase. It helped to get in protein requirements and curb hunger pangs. I have only tried the Fruit Punch and Grape Frost. Personally, I liked the grape the best, but that's a matter of personal taste. You can order other flavors from GNC and other places online, but I think you have to buy in bulk. I don't use them now that I am on regular food, though. They are expensive and feel fuller longer with food-which is how the band is supposed to work. Hope this helps.
  3. Thanks for the adviice. I will look into it! Congrats on your new baby!
  4. Hello fellow PCOS/Bandsters! I have a question for anyone who may know the answer to this. I have PCOS and have had fertility issues in the past. I read somewhere in my searches that soy products can decrease fertility. I am nowhere near ready to start trying again. However, I have switched to using Silk Light in my Protein shakes, due to having a lot of gas with dairy. Has anyone heard of this? If so, how long before TTC, should I not use soy products? Stephanie
  5. Congratulations! That's awesome!
  6. Thanks for all the info. I have had pcos for many years, have the textbook symptoms and appearance including the facial hair. It is totally a pain. Hoping that the weightloss will help. Don't really have enough to get laser treatment right now, but would like to one day.
  7. Every surgeon is different as to what they allow. Mine would not allow travel further than 1 hr from the office, until my first postop appointment. Your's may be different. Best advice is to ask your surgeon directly. Good luck!
  8. Good luck with your surgery!
