1. Welcome to our group! It's filling up nicely! I think we have a little over 20 folks in here now! I'm unsure about all the shakes too. So many feel strongly about the ones they like, but they are all different!
2. Can you add unflavored protein powder to the Carnation Instant Breakfast?
3. I know mist do but as all surgeons are different, maybe you won't. I was told to get an upper GI or an EGD. I have reflux already so maybe mine wants to make sure there are no other issues. I may have a hiatal hernia that he will need to fix during the sleeve procedure.
4. Ranger and Jack laying on the pillows with their momma!
5. Oh wow! Fun! Definitely a great way to start the new year! Welcome to our group! Looking forward to going through it with everyone!
6. Welcome to the group! I may have a hiatal hernia. Will know after my EGD in Nov. surgeon said he would fix it if I did. So excited for all of us!
7. Welcome to the group! That's a lot of liquid diet! I'm sure you'll have great results!
8. Agreed! I always had cats. Was afraid of big dogs and didn't like small chirpy ones. Since being married 3 years, we adopted German Shepherds! I love them sooooo much! Way different from the cats that just let you exist with them!
9. I told the last one, gallbladder, and they gave me meds and put the patch behind my ear. I will stress it again with this one and hope they try something else.
10. I haven't had this surgery yet but I've had 2 others. Unfortunately I wake up very nauseated and last time woke up with a raging headache too. They told be I won the award for the worst recovery! Yay me! Lol. I'm hoping this time will be better but either way, it will be worth it for me.
11. Welcome to the group! So great that you are starting out so young to getting your health in a good place!
12. Hey everyone! Those of you looking at a December date, if you haven't already come in, join us in the December 2013 thread so we can all follow each other!
13. Thanks so much! I will definitely ask about this!
14. I understand. I've always been "healthy" until this year. My knee is screaming and my hips get sore regularly. I guess they've had enough! I hope the initial drop of 20-30 will be enough for them to be happy again and get us moving!
15. Wow! That is fast! I'm self pay and could go sooner but I did want my insurance to cover some of the testing. Insurance kicks in Nov 1 so that's when I'll do EGD. It will be an exciding new year for all of us! So glad we can do it together!
16. Welcome to our group! Congrats on getting everything done. Hopefully you get a quick reply back! Sounds like a lot of people have to call and call to get their answer. I'm not doing the food funeral myself. I'm just enjoying our regular outings as they usually happen. I was told to not gain weight but mine usually likes to stay pretty still anyway. Looking forward to all of us following along together!
17. Yes, we are over here! Come join >>> http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/96637-december-2013-sleevers-come-in/
18. Ok, thanks! Those were the kinds I was wondering about. I haven't had them yet but thought they were koolaid-y.
19. I understand, thanks so much! I was thinking (depending on NUT advice) that I would have one for Breakfast as usually I just have a bowl of Cereal. However, I can see now that it should only be a meal and not had throughout the day. Thanks again
