I don't think you cheated either. Just try your Protein shake intake much slower. I am 5 days post op too! It will get better, i honestly believe it.

I had a revision on May 17 2016, also from band to sleeve. I can drink fluids but I have to do it slow (like a turtle), so I'm doing it every hr almost, to get fluids in. Can you try that method.? We both are only 5 days postop, and everyone says it will take time. Hope you feel better!

You were definitely too tight!!!! That happened to me on my first fill too. I had to go back and get 2 c.c's out immediately. After my fills I normally drink some warm tea or broth with protein powder. Because I have been tight before and it was horrible experience. The tea normally helps a great deal. Hey everyone. Gosh its been a moment since I posted on here, but I had to stop by and say hello to everyone. I have been doing pretty good. I am down 30 lbs since my surgery on Nov 11th, 2010. I have not been excerising as much as I would like (mainly because of my hellish workload I have right now.) I am jumping back on the band wagon as we speak!!!! I have many episodes of food getting stuck and you would think i know by now. I will say its getting much better. That is the worst feeling (being stuck). so I am trying to chew everything like a new baby so I can do better. I will say I feel much better. I am now taking the stairs instead of elevators when I can and getting my butt up to take my son out on these beautiful colorado days! I took so much for granted before and now I will be a running around mom, doing different activities I would have never dreamed of before. My husband loves the energy level and we are having some fun. I just signed up for kickboxing lessons (that should be interesting)!. I go to my first class next week. WISH ME LUCK!!! I will say my doctor and his office have been great. Before the surgery and after. I have had some struggles and they have been there every step of the way for help and guidance. Dr snyder and amanda have given me a start to a new life! Hope everyone is doing great and I will try to start checking in more often. I miss my fellow BANDSTERS!!!!!! Dee

I got banded on nov. 11th. i have that shoulder pain too!!! it seems like everytime I get a fill it agrravates it even more. It has been off and on for the past months. My doctor thought I was to full too and took out 2 cc. but I still have the pain, even right now as I am typing. They say it gets better, so I am definitely waiting for that particular day!!!!!

Hey girl!!!! I thought I was the ONLY one going through some serious moments right now. I am doing okay. I came off of here for a little while because i was starting to compare my self to others weightloss again. And I need to get my head in the game after all the holidays. My job is stressing me out completely but by the grace of God at least I still have one. I feel sometimes I put so much pressure on my self its unreal. I am doing good again with the weightloss (at least I think) I am 3 months out andI have lost the little I gained at xmas and a little more. I will get weighed actually tomorrow at my 3 month followup. So pray for me girl!!! I will keep you posted. I will personal message you tommorrow with what else is going on in my life. promise! Until then keep your head up and remember we all are in this lapband struggle together. Email me if you need to chat (whenever). I have felt like you feel in your marriage and I am dealing with a husband who really doesnt beleive I should have went to this for help. Thank you, all of you. I am going back on liquids tomorrow! I'm so ready for this fill on wednesday. I'm glad I'm not alone. All of you have done so good in your weight, I'm jealous but I will get back with you guys. thanks for the responses this was a great holiday but I'm ready to get back to MY schedule. Dee

Well I havent been on here for a litlle over a week, which is very different for me. I have been visiting everybody over these past two weeks. Since we are in Colorado and everyone in my family is in the east coast. I did go and see my mother who hasnt seen me since the day of my surgery. She says she can tell a difference. Proably more inches than weight to me but I will take any compliment coming my way. My other family has seen a difference also in me. But on to why I am writing. I came home and have gained back 6 pounds!!!!! I dont even know how but I did. I ate different foods (which I havent been eating) but a lot LESS than ever before on any holiday break. I dont know what I did wrong. I hung out, had a great time with family but I do not like this feeling I have right now. I know right before I left I had a lot of problems with my 1st fill which we didnt get to an approaite level til 2 days before I left. Now I am scheduled on wednesday for my 2nd fill and I'm so upset over these 6 pounds I dont know what to do. I know I need a fill because I'm hungry as hell! Will my doctor look down on me because of my weight gain?? I know its not alot but it is discouraging. I guess because I really didnt think I was being all that bad on vacation, but I guess I was. I plan on jumping back on this horse tomorrow, actually right now!! But any words of wisdom from my lapband family would be greatly appreciated. Please somebody give me something????? I'm so worried. I want my weight to reflect how I am living and with this gain it hurts. Did any of you gain weight during the holidays? Because right now I feel very alone. Thanks Dee

That sounds so good! Especially since I'm not able to eat as much right now. I am going in for a slight unfill tomorrow. Yeah. Been to tight for over a week! Ugh. But I need to change things up and I will be trying that with the gravy. I will let you guys know how it taste. If you were selling this cookbook I would buy it with no problem. OMG! I know you are miserable. They left air in my band and it hurt like a son of a gun to try and eat. They should not have put any saline in at all. And for the nurse to take out 1.5cc id ridculous because they have to pull out all the saline to put even a little bit back in or to add. It is really upseting that she could not tell you how much was put in your band from surgery. No matter what it should be in your chart and as the patient you have a right to know what is going on with your own body!!!! Hopefully you will get a chance to really sit down with your surgeon and get some answers. You should be really starting to feel better. I wish you luck and hope you start to feel better soon! please keep us informed when you go see your doctor on Wednesday. Just know it does get better and God Bless! Dee

When I read your blog. Im trying not to get discouraged with this fill thing. i just had my first fill and I was extremely tight. As you stated it will come and go at times. Im ready for just the right fit (havent gotten there yet). Ive only been banded a little over a month. Any advise you can give me would be greatly appreciated. How much is in your band now?
