i had my surgery on 5/9/2009 i went to the doctor today & was told i can now how solid foods..... so is fruit safe to eat???

I would assume so, just stick to the soft fruits though like mango, kiwi fruit, banana. Or you could also try the tin fruits just make sure that there low in sugar.

Mostly you want to avoid tough skins like those on apples, and the part of the orange that is really stringy.
