This is my first entry on my blog. Will anyone actually read it, I wonder? Probably not.

My surgery is in exactly 2 weeks from today. I'm so nervous. I've never had anything done before, have neever been cut open or stayed the night at the hospital. The closest I think was when I had stitches from when I sliced my ankle when I was younger. Or maybe when I had to do a sleep study for my sleep apnea - but that doesn't count..I think.

In other news, some chick name Erika Dutra is kissing and telling about her night with Robert Pattinson (the most beautiful man, my Edward, my one free pass..sigh..) while in Cannes. If you get a chance to hook up with the man, you should keep your mouth shut and enjoy it! Maybe he'll call you again when he's back in town? Now he's just going to think you're nothing but an opportunist slut!

Until the next blog, toodles.

I never had any surgery before either and now, three weeks later I am so sure this is the best thing I have ever done!! (well worth it even though I self-payed). I am free of the addiction for three whole weeks...no appetite, no hunger, no cravings, just doing my thing to get the protein and water in!! LOVE MY BAND!!! And down a jean size.

I haven't had surgery since I was 6 y/o, so I've been pretty nervous, too. I haven't been nervous about the surgery as much as the IV, though! And I'm a nurse!!! I can give it, but can't take it:) I actually had an endoscopy a week ago and the IV wasn't NEARLY as bad as I had blown it up to be. I have really great veins and they got it with one stick! So, my nerves are much better, now. I'm just ready to get my band! Tentative date 7/21/09.

I was terrified about the surgery before I did it. My husband is a nurse at the trauma center here in Maine and I met him while working in the E.R so of course my brain goes straight to the worst possible case scenarios about what could have happened. Honestly though it has been the single best decision I have ever made in my entire life! Good luck to you!!

BTW I am totally planning on an Edward hook up when I reach my goal weight lol!!
