Advice from ANYONE....Help

I am 2 weeks post op and last night I was leaning forward and went to reach my right arm and felt a pull/pinch around my largest incision line where the port is. I was awake half the night thinking I did something really wrong and made a suture come undone or the port flipped. It hurt last night to get in and out of the bed a few times. I took tylenol this morning and feel a little better.

I don't know if I should call my surgeon. It is Sat. and I do not want to get him pissed.

It was just a strange feeling and I am really not sure what happened inside. Anyone out there felt the same thing in your past experience and what did u do ?

I have been banded for 3 weeks now and I too had some pain and could feel the port. But when I went to doc he said all was fine and I can still feel it but it doesn't hurt. I did not have constant pain though. I would just move the wrong way and it would hurt badly for just a few moments. Good luck.

I'm guessing many of us have had the same experience...I have. I wouldn't worry as I've had pain several times as it's just the sutures (or clips if you have a Realize) on your abdominal wall healing and you'll get pain as you stretch until this is healed (I'm still having this from time to time and I'm a month out). Even if (not likely) you totally tore it and the port flipped there's nothing you can do without the doc and there's really no reason to get it fixed quickly this weekend. Personally, I'd wait and see if it's still as bad after the weekend and if so, then give the doc a call.
