Gaining weight

I am 3 weeks post op and have put on 4lb since surgery. The doc tells me to drink my fluids and get my protein but sometimes i feel full by the end of the day and i havent taken in my daily requirements of fluids and proteins. Do i force myself to get my daily requirements in or do i short myself of requirements?.

Both enough water and enough protein will help you with weight loss, not hinder it. If you're eating too little your weight loss will actually slow down as your body will slow your metabolism. Good luck! -BG

Hey WELCOME to LBT! I just realized it was your first blob, lots of great people here. There's a March '09 group in the forum (top) and then go down to support groups 2009. They should be in the same spot you are. You're in the period commonly call 'bandster hell' where you have no restriction yet and it's all up to you, and MANY gain weight...it's normal. Keep us posted and let me know if you need help! -BG
