band tight again

hI everyone , I was banded in october and have lost 41lbs so far. this is my problem , all of a sudden about 2 days ago I feel like I did when I first got the band. I am very tight and having trouble with any type of solid foods. I have even vomited a few times. Its strange because last week I was thinking I need an adjustment because I felt wide open. Any way I was wondering if anyone else has ever had this happen ? I have not yet had any adjustments and have no saline at all in the band , thanks all.

I haven't had this happen, but I think you should call your doctor in the morning.

I never had this happen. After your doctor's appt. let me know what he saids. Also Im surpise u haven't had any adjustments. The doctors normal does it 6 weeks afterwards. I was banded Oct 29, 2008 and I've had 2 fills. My third fill is March 3. Did the doctor put any saline in during surgeory? My doctor didn't. I have 6.5 ccs in a 14 cc band.

I have no saline in mine either at the time of surgery. My doctor said he will give me an adjustment when i stop losing. How much weight have you lost since yours ? I have lost 41 and dont know if that is average or not. I will post tomorrow after my appointment , I just hope its nothing too bad.

I was banded on October 29th. I have had 2 fills. I put off my first one an extra two weeks because things were going pretty well. I am doing great. Down 59 pounds as of today. (Although I expect a small rebound tomorrow.)

Well i went to the doctor yesterday and he thinks my band may have slipped. So now I will have an upper GI on thursday to see. If it slipped he will have to surgically replace it , really depressing , oh well I will keep you posted , thanks for the respones.

That is what I was worried about. Will insurance cover that? I am self pay and will be paying for the next 4 years and 9 months. That is why I worry so much about it happening.

yes my insurance will pay for it thank god for that. I just cant wait to see what the gi series says . If thats what it is I just want to get it over with. All i can eat now are liquids . I am in Nj where are you located ? take care , Kathy.
