Wt. loss has stopped

I had my surgery in Aug. 2007 and I have lost 70 lbs. since then. I am now 250 lbs. I have not lost any weight in the last few months. I have a 4cc band and I am almost at the maximum fill volume at 3.1 cc. My band is pretty restricted still and I still cannot eat breads and high fiburous foods, but I don't know what to do. Any suggestions....

Get the wretched thing ripped out and go on weight watchers, thats what I am going to do. Good thing you actually lost 70 lb. I lost a puny little 15 lb in 5.5 month......and have been living in a literal agony of puking and misery and half a dozen choices of food I can even EAT. This thing is worthless!!!

You have lost 70 lbs! Wow! what an accomplishment. You know this has worked. It is just time for a re-evaluation.

I know that 3.1cc seems like alot in a 4cc band, but a minor adjustment can do a lot!

Have you been following the "guidelines" I have been told about from other bandsers.

No water with meals.

Solid protein first then veggies.

3-4 oz per meal.

You shouldn't get hungry for about 4 hours. If so let your doctor know.

Call you doctor and LET THEM HELP YOU! Remember they can't help if they don't know. Let them know you eating habits when and how much. Use somehthing like sparkpeople.com to keep track of food.

Don't forget the exercise.

Let us know how it is going!

Congrats on your weight loss. You may just need to go back to the basic. Start the program over. Try 2 days of clear liquids, then add protein shakes for 2 days then mushies for about 4days before going back on solids. I was banded April 22, 2008 and I have lost 96lbs. When I hit a plateau I go on liquids for about 2 days and I increase my excercise by walking an extra 15-30 min. I will admit this hasnt been as easy as I thought it would be. But it is working and I am not gaining. Good luck on your journey.
