An introduction

Just getting started on this blog so let me tell you a bit about myself. I am 44, and, at the start of all this I was 351 lbs, way too big unless I was over 7 feet tall, and I am under 6 so, it had to go. I was banded on 09/16 by Monty Schwartz here in Tucson, he's the greatest and I cannot say enough good about him. I love to cook, and to grow veggies in the garden, so as you can see, food is a big part of my life. Fortunately, not as an emotional crutch, but since I quit smoking 9 years ago, my last vice. Between the pre-surgery diet and since, I am down to 328.4. Lightest in almost a year and harbinger of things to come (or is that go?) I have great support from my wife so things are going smoothy far. I am here because I know, sooner or later that I will have a question that only someone who's been here can answer.
