Starting Tomorrow

Well,

I am going to begin my self-imposed pre-op diet tomorrow. I am a little nervous because I HATE diets..Why??? Because I fail at them miserably! LOL...hence, RNY surgery.

I am doing this so I can get used to eating every 2-3 hours, detox my body from all the bad stuff I have been eating for the past year and I would like to go into surgery at least ten pounds less than I am now..so I am 274, I would like to go in at 264.

It is going to be difficult, because of the whole diet concept. I have made lunch and snacks for tomorrow and my hubby grilled some stuff too. By the way, I am making him go on this with me as well. He is not too heavy, he probably needs to loose about 20lbs, though.

More tommorrow.....:rolleyes2:

I have been trying to do this as well. I am still waiting for insurance approval, but I am trying the preop diet just to see if I can do the liquid diet and also I figure to lose some weight as well. I did good all last week monday thru friday and then over the weekend it was a little rough. But tomorrow is monday and I am back to the preop diet again.

Just think how much better you'll feel!!!! (so hubby is LETTING you "make" him? what a guy!)

I'm going to self-impose a diet myself soon too. One of my goals is to either eliminate caffeine or greatly reduce how much I take in.

Sounds like a good plan!! I haven't had a band put in myself YET but I read on my prospective surgeons website that you need to eat low fat before op otherwise the liver will be too fatty, there are people on here who's surgeons couldn't carry out the procedure because of a fatty liver, can you imagine that? Getting yourself ready for the big day, going under expecting to come out banded, only to learn you have to go through it all over again!! I think it's great to get the whole family on board, don't think I would feel right eating a very healthy diet and feeding my hubby and kids junk! Have you got a date set? xx
