the supervised diet do i or don't i ???

:confused:ok here it is my silly question now that iam on the so called supervised diet with my family doc now the real question am i truly to lose or not to lose is the question .what is the ins co looking for ?? please help i dont' understand what i really need to do here ..thanks in advance :smile:

I am not so sure, but I think what the insurance looks for is that you are trying to loose. So if you don't it's not a big deal. I think that I would have done much better post surgery if I had tried to adjust my diet to the post diet before I had it done. It would have helped with my mind set. I think the thing you should be aware of is your BMI, that's what the surgeon is looking at before surgery. I think your bmi has to be 40 atleast to have the surgery done or 35 if you have other medical issues. I think if you bmi is too low, your doc and insurance company will not do surgery. My insurance did not cover my surgery, so I may be wrong. But I think I am close. I went to all the pre surgery classes and they went over everything about insurance. This is the stuff my old mind remembers. I hope it helps!

hay thanks for all the info all this really helps a great deal .to alot of us no doubt. i was thinking about buying some of the diff soups/shakes ect the doc has and start on some of it here and there my bmi is 36.3 but iam looking at knee replacements if things don't change i had both knees scoped in dec jan and he said i have replaced knees like your's there ate up of arthritis and my heal's are now breaking down and i have bone spurs in my heals iam a mess ..i do need weight off and soon. thanks have a good one :unsure:
