should I or shouldn't I???

I was seriously considering the lap-band procedure, but after looking through internet sites I'm getting a little scared of the future complications and long-term success rate (75% failure rate after several years). Is the mini-bypass safer in the long run, or is there just a lot of negative hype.:confused2:

Sounds like a lot to consider. I would talk with your surgeon about your feelings and see if he/she is able to help. I chose the lapband because of minimal invasive to the body, with bypass they cut your intestines and re-route things. The lapband does not mess with your nutrients and is only a tool "radar detector". There is still a lot of work involved but well worth the effort.
