Chris de Bruyne

Hi

I am having my gastic band done on the 13th August. Havent been sleeping very well ever since I have booked it. I just wish it was sooner. I am going to Belgium as its a lot cheaper than the UK. The surgeon is Dr Chris de Bruyne.

Any good or bad comments about the sergeon would be very much appreciated please.

Id also be interested to know a breakdown of how much you have lost during each month and how many fills are needed.

Sorry for all the questions, but I am new to all this and could do with some advice.

The time will fly and before you know it you will be banded.

Everyone is sooo different in regards to how much how fast.Depending on: What starting weight. If this is the first real effort to lose. How old someone is. Some don't lose in the first few months and others lose big then plateau for a while.

For me Ive lost over 50lbs since my preop diet. Broken down thats about 30 before the surgery and 20 since. I was banded 16 weeks ago. A guy I know that was banded the next day has lost 86 lbs since being banded, but he started at almost twice my weight. A girl that was banded 2 weeks after me has lost 38 since banding. Another lady has only lost 12 and she was banded before me.

Thanks for your reply, its much appreciated. I guess I am worried that the people who know about the band will say, blimey your not losing that much are you! Ive been reading on here about people that have lost their hair, my god I hope I dont go bald otherwise I still wont want to leave the house.

hi everyone, my name is kellie fox, aka "THE FOX", i would like to introduce myself, suffice to say ive been reading everything i can find on gastric banding and dr CHRIS DE BRUYNE , and have made contact with TULLIA, but since reading this site have been thinking of going straight to the lovely doc himself, im going to have one final check at my annual leave and hope to be booking my surgery next week, anything i should know before i go ahead, any hints would be really helpful, regards, " THE FOX"
