The long journey

Hello, I am new in lapband talk, I am in the process to get approved by my insurance, I really want to get banded I even got a part time job to cover my deductible, I really hope that all the effort is worth it, I think that I have been gaining more weight.:)

I think a lot of people kind of go on a "binge" before they are banded. If you are worried though about the weight gain, I would follow the high protein/low carb diet. It will reduce your appetite and of course, you can eat extra protein if you are hungry.

Sometimes it is difficult to get th insurance to approve it. They consider it an "elective" surgery but your doctor can write it up as medically necessary.
