THE BEGINNING

Its difficult going through this alone. I came here last year without knowing anyone, change of job. I made a decision since I came here for a career change, that I would make a "me" change. I don't know......I found myself looking at myself and not liking me one bit. I want to be a good rolemodel for others and thats why i'm doing this...I went through the pre-screenings..January 4th I should know when the surgery will take place. It's hard not to have someone close to you for support; especially being in a new state, new environment. I like the doctor though, hes nice. Lets hope for the best...

Congratulations for doing something positive for yourself! I too was very scared about going through with the whole thing but I am 6 days post op and already know I have made such a good decision to go through with it. I haven't lost more than 15 lbs but I can already see a change it my face - it looks less puffy... I am already feeling like this was the best gift I could have ever given my self!

I know how you feel. I live alone in my state too. Well, I have my five year old. I too came here for work and I too have decided to get lap band surgery for myself. I hope that you are not really having it so that you can be a good role model. I hope you are doing it for YOU. I want to be a good role model for my child. I want to model good health and all that stuff. I want to make sure I'm here for her, but I also want to do this just for me. I want to feel better, look better, dress better, switch my butt better :). I want to be happy. Do this for yourself.

And don't worry, you are not alone. We are here with and for you. :ranger::ranger::ranger::ranger::ranger::ranger::ranger:Take care.:D
