One week and one day

I have one week and one day until by surgery on 11/27/07.

I am scared and excited. Worried about this liquid diet.

Not doing much for my family for thanksgiving because of this.

Worried about my husband doing most of the caring for our 14 month old. Just worry, worry, worry.

:D

Tommorow will be my 1 week post op. I too was worried about my hubby taking care of our 18 month old! He has done a great job of it! I have had to remind him a couple of times that I just had surgery and he needed to stop complaining because I am the one in pain. That shut him up quickly! Just be firm and don't be afraid to ask friends for a break. My Mom took my son the other afternoon to give my hubby a break. Good luck with everything! ~Michelle

My surgery is scheduled for 12/6, and I'm having the same concerns that you are. I started the liquied diet a few days early, and I am surprised that it is going so well. I did great on Thanksgiving, eating very small amounts of only my favorite items. I have a disabled daughter that is 23 that I care for. My husband will be around to help take care of her, but I am still concerned. She weighs about 85 pounds, and she is one reason that I have decided to have this surgery. I need to be able to take care of her as long as I can, and with all this extra weight, it is making it more difficult.

Good luck with your surgery.
