Insurance Denial

My insurance denied me.

I'm not worried. I'm going to go ahead and place my appeals, and see where it goes from there. There is no way that a 277 pound 21 year old isn't a good candidate for this surgery. I have PCOS,High cholesterol,sleep apnea,chronic knee-hip-back-joint pain,and am morbidly obese. At 21 years old! There's no way in hell they'll get away with denying me.

I've waited my whole life for the help I've needed with this. Another month or so won't hurt.

Do not give up on the insurance. I was denied and appealed the decision. I was ready to be a self pay(not happy about it). I went to the hospital the Thursday before my Monday surgery for lab work, etc. I told girl in business office that I was self pay. She told me to go finish my lab work and stop by. She would call the insurance company. Can you believe I was apporved the day before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one in any of my doctors offices said they can believe it. To get approved after disapproval. So, hang in there and keep pushing, pushing, pushing them. Good luck.
