any WLS will work.....no one is better than the other. I feel if you do your best, do what your doctor advises you to do in order to have the best results, the sky is the limit.....the hard part is doing it.....

i have the lap band/plication and have lost 156 pounds...so any WLS can and does work.....i feel the person is responsible for whatever they choose to work.....

Have you gone to any meetings? They explain the different types. Also the support groups are great because the people will tell you what is good or bad about each type of surgery.

Good luck. I have the band and love it. Nothing is removed and the band can get removed or replaced if needed.

My husband and I were both sleeved after 10 years of seminars, research and thinking about it. This site gives you much information, so between here and seminars on WLS, you can decide. We have never been happier!!! 2 months post op.

Hi and thanks for your comments. Not much in way of seminars, or support where I live. More support here. My daughter had bypass and doing really well ( a year ago ) and has lost 12 stone (168 lb) so, you can see why I was disappointed.... However, great to hear your good news, and two of you together, great for understanding and meal times too. Many thanks
