NEW WHEY LIQUID PROTIEN "SHOTS"

Check with your nutritionist or dietician about these. Most of the "protein shots" have collagen as the primary protein, which our bodies don't process effectively as protein. They do have whey protein in them, but they are usually not the primary source of protein. I've been told very specifically that they are not a replacement option for me, with the exception of one called "Yes, Whey" that is 100% whey protein isolate.

My NUT said you really get only about 11g of protein per tube. As SpaceDust said, Yes Whey is a better choice.

I went to protein shots, from GNC, because after 1 week of trying, I was not getting enough protein and because I was spending so much time trying, I was lacking in water as well. These little jewels, 3.5 oz and 43 grams of protein. They tasted just as bad, but I'd hold my nose, take a few sips and rinse my mouth out with water. I'd take a few more sips (I held my nose too, just like a kid) at lunch and I'd finish it off that evening. I'd gotten one in my "to go" bag from Forest Park Medical Center, when I was discharged. I don't think they consider it the BEST protein, but I never had any hair loss, no thinning at all, and my labs have always been very good. I highly recommend this stuff....it saved me!!!

the liquid whey protein shots that I take from walmart - yes, they are 42 gms of protein and yes, my nutritionist said you dont get all that protein BUT im finding that with most everything. She said the Premier Protein shakes are great for protein and they are tasty. Costco and Sam's carries them. Back on the shots, however, I was mixing them with my water, but I found a watermelon flavor and it tastes great so I can shoot it. The fruit punch, grape and acai berry and good too, but they are a little thick, so putting them in my water bottle works great. Since I only need 60 gms of protein or so now, this shot works well.
