3 days post surgery and vomiting....

Had surgery February 25th. Surgery went well. I ended up staying an extra night in the hospital because I was dry heaving. I got home Wednesday morning and slept most of the day. I have been trying to get in as much liquids as possible, but everytime I take a sip I feel nauseated. When does this get better? Any suggestions on how to make it stop?

I was like that the first four days post op. They sent me home with anti-nausea medication it was so bad. Here was my regiment; take anti nausea medication wait 20 minutes take pain medicine, wait 20 more minutes then I could alternate popsicle, ice chip and sipping water. Hope this helps.
