Getting Sleeved Friday July 6Th

Now that I have my surgery locked in I must say I am both equally excited and nervous at the same time. I never had surgery and I am a bit scared of the idea, although I know I am in good hands. I am also wondering what my life will be like post surgery....it will be a new journey.

I empathize with you. My surgery is set for July 17. I have had minor surgery before and I've been under anesthesia for my endoscopy. So I kinda know what to expect. I don't think it's going to be bad at all. I'm more so scared of post op.... I'm concerned with pain, the heeling process, whether I will have complications or not (prayerfully not), the eating process, getting in all the required vitamins/nutrients & liquid intake, how my body will react to the surgery, the amount of weight I will loose, how fast/slow will I loose the weight, what will I look like, how soon can I go on a shopping spree, and BEST of all will my body be rid of this stinkin diabetes!!!!!!! UGHHHH! You'll be fine!

I'm getting sleeved on July 6th also! I am also excited and nervous. I know it's the right decision for me, but it's also nerve racking to think we'll never be able to go back to the way we were before (which is probably a good thing). I'm most worried about how social gatherings will go. I'm part of a group that eats together every week and I haven't told any of them about the surgery yet so...
