I too am self employeed. I run a Verizon indirect location. I was sleeved on 2/27 (got out of hospital on Thursday) flew home on Sunday and returned to work on 3/5 (the very next Monday).

I am 14 days post opt today...4 of the 5 of my incisions are healed and the drain (which I have a pic posted) is healing up nicely...maybe by week end, I will start swimming again. I have been walking about 1/4 mile during warm days to get my excersise in.

I took two weeks off and was very very week for those two weeks. I didn't start getting strength until end of the third week. My doc said it was a combination of the diet, low intake and the body adjusting to surgery and the anathetics used during surgery. The weakness was the hardest for me.

Also follow the docs perscribed eating plan carefully. once during the first two weeks i tried to eat tuna, which I thought was mushy but it wasn't really and I had a close call... not a good experience at all.

Once I past the third week things were getting much better. Now in my fourth month and I feel awesome and must admit I look great!! Good Luck!!
