Followers I keep getting pain in my esphogus like I drank or ate to fast when I'm not even drinking. I wonder if its like a spasm. Anyone else have this?
sbassie LAP-BAND Patients November 2, 201213 yr Author stats For about a month after my surgery, I would wake up about 2AM with pressure in my esophogus area. I would take tums but sitting up was the only thing that would give me relief. Dr. said I was eating too late, but I was eating at 6PM at the latest. Did not make sense to me. It has gone away now. I was concerned that it was heartburn and I did not want to do damage to my esophogus. He said it was just food that was not digested and it was backing up. So, there was no acid involved to cause any damage. If this is happening at night, perhaps eating earlier would help.
