I went to my first seminar a few weeks ago. I had done alot of research on gastric banding and pretty much had my mind made up before I went.

Before I went to the seminar I called my insurance provider and was told the surgery would be covered by at least 80% and possibly 100 depending on what my doctors say.

I will be meeting with the dietician and financial / patient advocate on October 15, 2012.

I am looking forward to following everyone else’s success as I await my own.

    i go tuesday for my first semiar. i am nervous and curious what all will be said. i need to do something , something needs to change. my insurance says i have to pay 4k out of pocket . :( i hope they take payments . what insurance do you have?

    Good luck, doing research up front will really help you on the back end if you do have the surgery.

    Hi Marybell my insurance provider is Cigna.I would suggest checking out GE Credit also.I used them a few years back interest free if paid on time.

    @Newme Thanks !! Have you had surgery yet? I am excited once I finally made the decision to pursue this. :) Just wish they could do it tomorrow!!!
