Progress & Moving Forward - August 13, 2012

On June 20th, 2012 I was UNBANDED due to complications. I was banded for three years total. I lost all my weight but when my band failed I gained 40lbs back. So now my journey is going in a different direction and I am following the Eat to Live Plan by Dr. Joel Furhman. I have lost 11ls in two weeks and here is my story:

LAP-BAND Patients

Hello LaLa,

I am sorry to hear that you had complications and had the Lap Band removed! You look great.

I would like to know what happened with your lapband and if you were able to get any compensation in anyway, I know that I would be upset if there were no compensation. The surgery is not cheap!

I am trying to decide between the Lap Band and Gastric Sleeve, both are around the same price but the Lap Band would be done locally, they have been performing the lap band for 2 years (I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada) and the Gastric Sleeve would be in Mexico at the LIMARP. The clinic only performs bariatric surgeries and it has been certified as an international center of excellence, Dr. Pompa has been doing bariatric surgeries for a long time with and an excellent resume.

I will be doing one of the surgeries but I am having a tough time deciding, it took me a long time to save up the money so I would like to hear the good and bad about each procedure.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

Connie
