Great Jim,

way to stick with it the weeks with not results can really be discouraging but you got there. I am hoping to join you by August. I'm more nervois about the pre surgery diet. Obviously sticking with diets are not my strong suit( or I wouldn't be here) but I have time before I need to worry about that(the pre-worrier that I am) Good luck and Happy losing....

Good for you! I start my day with a low carb protein shake (35gm) and it seems to keep me on track and I don't have to work too hard to get the remainder in by meals the rest of the day.

Great to hear...my scale is also slow in moving. so do u think it is directly related to protein intake? I lost 130 pounds back in 1996 and kept it off till 2008...i did not measure daily protein back then..lost the weight on my own with a calorie based diet alone..did not eliminate any food groups..but did not watch protein intake as i am being asked to do now. Just trying to figure out this time, what will move the scale...I guess being 15+ years older might be a factor..LOL

What is the name of the protein shake with 35 grams of Protein?

During the two week standstill I was not getting enough protein. Once I started weighing it again and actually tracking ensuring I was getting between 80 to 100 grams daily and then the scale started to move. I have at least one shake a day and that is 36g when combined with simply smart milk.

thank you all for the encouragement and good luck to all of you.
