Anyone Experience Anger Soon After Surgery?

I had surgery on January 18th and I had an early period by two weeks the day after surgery. What I have noticed is I have the anger that I get when i PMS. Anyone else have that happen?

When I started my pre-op diet I got very angry and had horrible headahes ... I was told it was because my body was detoxing from the carbs and caffeine ... It is as bad as coming off drugs, this is what I was told and I believe it ... Just keep drinking your water and it will pass.

good luck to you =0)

I hope that is it. :) I just found a site where a lot of people complained of anger and hormones fluxuating. I am trying not to snap at my poor husband. Thanks for your feedback.

I was crying, more out of shock, that I had actually gone through it, my hubby would give me a hug and I would just start crying like no tomorrow. He's so supportive, hee said we would get through this together. not so bad now, banded 5 days out.

Today got better now that the little hormone monsters are there. I feel 100% recovered from surgery. Can't wait to excercise again.

i had major anger and frustration after the band and I did take it out on my poor hubby. 4 days after surgery I was packing up to go to the hospital "to have this thing removed" LOL my hubby is actually the one that calmed me down. I think weight loss, surgery, change in diet and change to your body in general causes all these hormones and feelings to fluxuate. dont get discouraged, it all goes away in time and NO, i did not go to hospital and have my band removed.. LOL I survived. good luck to you

Thanks Kristy for your comment. Thank God I am better now. Once I recognized it I made a conscious effort to calm down and not let my hormones get the better of me. Good luck too! :)
