1st Consult went well

I was an hour late I got lost I couldnt find my way out of a one way bldg!!

Met with Dr. Rivas he was AWESOME!! His whole attitude was great! He gave me helpful information and he said I would be a perfect canidate for the surgery! I met with the diet lady she was cool she gave me a diet plan for pre-op and post-op and get this I dont have to do a strict pre-op diet. I met with the insurance lady she started off being mean but I killed her with kindness and she came to herself. I met the nurse she was so kind and soft spoken, she said she would be with me step by step. I left the office floating I cant even describe the feeling that came over me.

Got a call from Scott the finance guy and he said I need to get more history from the pcp and ob-gyn.????? I left there thinking I had it all together and no one said anything about additional information. I got very upset that I didnt have it together, I didnt want to wait any longer for approval but I guess I have to.

So far I have emailed the lady for more history at the OB. office now I have to call my doctor for my 8months trail diet crap! Not sure why that wasnt sent over from her with the referral?? I'm thinking maybe I should wait until Jan to get the surgery United Healtcare wont send me through all of this mess I hope not!!

Don't wait just go with flow, this way if you do have to wait for the other insurance, most of your stuff will already be done. I am so glad you had your appointments. You are 3 steps closer. You go thick chick!!!

Hey girl, congrats on the good consult. However, it sucks that you have to do the 8 month trial diet thingy. We all have our things that suck. Mine is that the insurance won't even pay for my operation. So, even though I'm getting my surgery soon, I'm paying for it, and I mean, I'm really paying for it, like $14,000 worth of paying.

Anyway, what is new with you? Hopefully I'll have some time to call you soon. What are you doing late Friday night? I'm going to a musical in St. Louis that night, and when I leave to come home at 11:00 cst I have a 3 hour drive and if you aren't busy, I could call you. Anyway, let me know.
