Another Plateau!

It's been 19-20 days since I've really lost any weight. I'm still averaging about 900-1200 cals a day. I'm still working out 4-6 times a week. I'm still drinking lots of water. It SUCKS! I've tried tripping up my metabolism here and there with taking in some extra calories, and I've bumped up my exercise. I think my body is just fighting me. I know I'll get past this but I keep finding myself becoming more negative about it every day. I just hope that someday soon I pop out of this plateau and get to losing again. I've been averaging about 10-12 lbs a mo since I was banded and this mo so far I've lost 3 and I don't have much time left.

I'm super sad faced! :(

Don't get me wrong if your average is half a pound to 1 pound a week there is nothing wrong with that. I just know how hard I work and what results I normally get from it and I'm just GRRRR about it right now! Crossing my fingers and hoping for a 180 soon.

I know EXACTLY what you mean because I am the same way. I have become very depressed because when I get on this site, everyone, but me is losing mega pounds. I don't know what to do. I've given up so much, but I haven't reaped any rewards yet and it is getting very discouraging. I am not giving up, but I am losing hope. I do exercises to my WII Fit and WII Dance 2. Today we are having a treadmill delivered and I can't wait. I will do 30 minutes on the WII and 30 minutes on the treadmill. I really hope this is my way out. Some people aren't even exercising and they are losing weight. Well, to both of us "Prayers to us that we will soon start losing mega pounds and reap the rewards that everyone else has"!!!!! Best Wishes my friend!!! I can relate!!!!

I being on a plateau for the last couple of months but I am feeling great, as long as you can keep your progress then you should be in good shape. I being told that I need to do something different since the body gets used to just about anything. They recommend me doing weight lifting so I need to give that a try, just my 2 cents. Keep us posted.

Sometimes even though you don't lose the wt. you can still tell by losing inches - especially when you wear your clothes. I have been at a stand still for a while too which is very frustrating but yet when I put my clothes on - they feel looser? Go figure! :)

I have been fluxuating between 71 72 lbs for a few weeks now, but I know I will get past it. Your body is just fighting right now, but don't give up. Keep doing what you are doing and it will turn around. If not, see if you need a fill. Whatever you do, I wish you the best.

I've been at a plateau for about a month. I just passed my 9 month "bandiversary" (that sounds so cute) and just have 14 lbs to go to my goal (have lost 59 lbs). I'm feeling, and looking, great! But I'm impatient to get these last 14 lbs gone!!! I may follow the suggestion from Manu and try "to do something different since the body gets used to just about anything". Makes sense to me (sorta). Saying a prayer won't hurt, either. Maybe putting this here will let me get some frustration out of my system (hope so).
