2nd Fill

The 2nd fill didn't tickle. Not sure if that's good or bad. Felt one or two stabs but nothing bad at all. I do feel fuller now. i can still eat 16 oz of food which is not good but if I stick to the pouch rules I don't get hungry as quickly and I've lost 4 lbs.

The hardest part is not drinking while eating! That has been ground in you since you were little. Drink lots of water while you eat and before. Now its don't drink anything while you eat or 15 minutes before or 30 after. However I can feel the difference when I don't drink.

Lets hope the weight loss continues. My next fill is in February !

LAP-BAND Patients

Great job on the 4 lbs!! As for the drinking...try getting a glass of ice..let it sit there and when it melts then you can have it..it will take about 45 minutes to an hour...that gives you enough time to eat and a 1/2 hour afterwords. If you really feel you need to have a drink, take a sip of the ice..all you will get is a sip or whatever has melted.

I actually get stuck if I drink when I eat and I have been banded for 14 months now..so it does effect everyone different but if you get used to doing it then you will allow your band to tolerate it. Drinking flushes all of your protein you just ate. So all the energy you are trying to store up is actually wasted when you drink with your meal. Habits are hard to break! We all have them. I wish you the very best!!
