Do not get discouraged. Just make wise food choices. I did the same thing. I had to do 10 days of liquid diet pre-op and another 11 days post-op and lost 20 right off the bat. I did struggle for a few mths. after that. Take in as much protein as you can. Are you taking a vitamin?? How about B12? It took me several fills to get to the point of not feeling hungry and the feeling of fullness. Try to start exercising too. I always lose more when I'm exercising regularly. I went into the band thinking everything would be immediate. It will eventually all come together and you'll do just great!!!!! I am 9 mths. in and have lost 80 lbs. so far. I have gone from a 22/24 to a size 12. It feels great!

Keep your chin up! This is very normal. I had to "pretend" to be full before my first fill. I could eat anything. However, I really wanted to lose weight so I chose not to. It was so hard. However, my first fill did help some, but it was not enough. However, my second fill...really had me relearning everything all over again. There were some things that I could eat before my second fill that I couldn't eat afterwards. Just remember this is a journey and you will need to tweak things along the way as you adapt and adjust. Good luck!

I was banded on Dec. 22, and I have lost 20 pounds. At this point I'm still on a liquid diet and can' wait to move to the next phase. I feel as though I can consume large amounts of liquid and not have a problem, but I'm doing what I have been told. I paid cash for my surgery and I feel that I need to do everything possible in order to lose the weight I need to lose and also not waste the money that was invested in my health.
