A little lost

SOOOOO, I have booked my Surgery date for January 14th 2011 and decided to get myself some support from others who have also gone through this journey... I'm a bit computer illiterate so am struggling at navigating this site. I dont know how to get into contact with others who have had the surgery and see how they are doing... Anyone who can help me out I'd really enjoy it. Thanks Katie

Good luck as you embark on your journey. They just changed the site. I am getting use to it myself. You are doing great as you have already figured out how to post to your blog!

LAP-BAND Patients

Hi I have been using this site for a year and a half and I am at a loss now Not sure how to use this site any more. Everything looks so different. I will just need to keep blogging and see if I can get used to it. It is better than eating!

I was banded on June 29,2009 and I have lost 110 pounds in about a year. I am very happy working with my band. I am at a normal weight for me now and people call me skinny. Not sure I can agree with them but I have been over weight my entire life so I am a lot smaller. I am a petite size and when I shop I can always find something that fits. It never used to be that way.

If you have any questions maybe I can help. I have made my fair share of mistakes and have been able to survive and talk about it. All has been well and I would choose this LB over all the other measures I have tried in the past.

Best wishes on your journey and keep blogging no matter what the site looks like. It will be part of your success. imaluckydog

I was banded on 7/28/10 and I can truly say that it has been life changing for me. I was so ashamed of myself, I hid a lot, which meant missing time with my wonderful family. Since the band I have lost 45 pounds and have about 35 to go. I am now part of everything that goes on! I pay more attention to just about everything in my life.....except food! I eat healthy and am never hungry, so that part takes care of itself....though I have had to deal with my emotional eating and blogging on this site has helped! And like imaluckydog, I have made plenty of mistakes, but this time I am learning from those mistakes and not repeating them over & over! Two things you will see any "Bander" say is #1, the band is a tool that will help you but it's not a cure. #2, this is a journey, not a race! I wish you the best of luck, please keep us posted on your success!
