It has been a journey to decide to get lap band but when I finally decided oh man did I decide. I got everything done within the first month after my first seminar. I was going crazy because I finished everything but still did not have the insurance approval, and without it, it wasn't real to me that it was happening.

 

on October 31, 2010 the insurance specialist called me and informed me that I was approved and that my surgery will officially be on Dec. 7.

I'm sorry to ramble but reading all of your stories have inspired me to share mine. I hope to update you guys on my journey and inspire others just like ALL of you have inspired me.

 

It was inspirational to read your stories and hear about your ups and downs. I appreciate the support this community has and I hope to give back:thumbup:

    Hi, I too am being banded in December. I am looking forward to having this done! On December 1 it will be a new way of life for me! My own personal Christmas gift to myself. Good luck to you!

    thank you guys!!!!! I always make it a rule to give myself something every year and this it. a new life!

    this is what I love about this community!!! the love and support! we don't know each other but this support and understanding we all have is the best thing. I have a lot of support from the people around me but is different when they are not in the same position I am.
