Weak Moment....

So I'm about 5 weeks out since my surgery for my slipped band and I have to admit I'm now struggling. Hunger has definetely kicked in....FULL FORCE. I talked to my Doctor (PCP) today about being put on an appetite suppressant until I'm back to my sweet spot with my fills...last thing I want is to gain the weight back. Call me weak if you want, but I can't do it without help...and my Doctor agreed to put me on Phentermine for 3 months. I'm working out twice a day to balance out the food I'm eating to keep the scale down...and so far so good, but its causing me major anxiety. I start the Phentermine tomorrow...I sure hope this helps me through this rough spot. I will definetely let you all know how it goes.

FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION!!

Anyone reading your posts and questioning the band would not think twice. You have proven the theory we all live by -- can't do it without a tool. Good for you for exploring interim options and best wishes! You are doing fantastic. Take care of yourself.

Today was my first day on the Phentermine...I am still a little in shock...guess I didn't really expect it to work. I had to remind myself to eat :)) I'll take it...so much better than feeling like I'm starving all day. Ahhh now I feel like I can handle this until I get back to my sweet spot :o) without stressing. It may not be for everyone, and they may not agree...but this is my journey afterall, I have to do what works for me.

Thanks for the support

Congratulations on your choice to be a success at weight loss. I wish I can go on something like that. A good friend of mine who is not banded is on Phentermine and so far has lost 52lbs since June.

We all need tools to succeed to get us to that spot. Just consider this a stepping stone to your final outcome. I wish you all the best. And don't second guess yourself or ever be ashamed of the battle you are winning.

I'm finally getting there....Monday I had another fill, putting me to 5cc's....actually feeling a little restriction now, so battling the hunger is much better. I've managed to "teeter" back and forth by about 5 lbs since September. My true goal though, I really think I want to lose another 10 lbs...just not watching the scale so much these days, but I wanna explored the new me with a little more loss. Thank you everyone for your support. So glad I found this site...amazing people here :)
