Confused...

Hey all.

I've been working on eating slower and smaller bites. Watching the calories a bit closer too, but I've gained 5.8lbs in the last couple weeks:smile2:. I don't know what's going on. I can't get past 190lbs and it's driving me nuts:thumbup:! Don't get me wrong, I still am proud of not gaining a huge amount back. I just need to figure out why the body is fighting this. I'm kinda at a loss as to what to do just short of exercising every spare moment. Any ideas are welcomed! Hope things are well with everyone!

Are you eating a lot of the same foods over and over? Sometimes you need to change up what your eating. Are you filling up on protein and not drinking before/after you eat? When I hit my platue I joined a program that helps me track my food and exercise. So far it has worked! Good Luck! Keep trying~ K

Carbs Carbs Carbs. If I am eating the right amount of calories and eating slow and not losing, it is usually carbs. They have a tendency to try and sneak into my diet. Even if you are not over doing the carbs, cutting them will help you move past a plateau. Change up your exersize also. If you walk the same amount every day, or do the same machines at the gym, try doing a couple of aerobic classes or hiking. Look for any way to throw a curve ball at your body!!! Best of luck!

Switch something up -- what you eat (like above), add a new form of exercise, add another 30 minutes of exercise to a day/week. Make sure you are getting enough sleep and if you are stressed try to do meditation/pray/yoga to reduce stress.

I was stuck (bad use of the term) for three weeks. I did all the above and I'm down 4 lbs this week already. I wish I would have done just one so I could be scientific about it, but oh well.

Best of luck to you!

do you know what I found? I had a chest infection and couldnt exercise for two weeks and that rest re started my weight loss! I am not back at the gym and its going ok but I think my body just needed a rest. And they say a change is as good as a rest.

I also agree that a change in your eating habits will help. Try eating something different.

Good luck honey x
