Hello All

Well today's my last day of food for a while. I have been very good so far. No binges, no day full of sweets, chips, and fried foods (all my favorites). I don't want to shock my system by having so much and immediately going into a liquid diet. I know the next two weeks will be trying but with determination and prayer I'm sure I can make it through.

Any tips on raw veggies I should try? I have cucumbers, squash, carrots, celery and bell peppers anything else?

Thanks

Good for you! It will be hard, but it will also be worth it. :) Cucumbers and bell peppers are my favorites and it looks like you have them covered.

You will be on softer foods as well, so the squash or carrotts or whatever can be processed/pureed will be your best bet. I love cucumbers and peppers, but they don't always go done the easiest sometimes. Oh, and watch SKIN. It will not be your friend for awhile -- doesn't go down very easy :-).

Not that I have had any problem with them but celery was on my no-no list due to how stringy they are. I also peel and de-seed my cucumbers (just always have even before surgery..my dad has a problem with the seeds). The only thing I had problems with is onions...they gave me indigestion afterwards--not sure why..so I just cut back on them. As for pureeing...I put anything and everything in a blender...you may need to use a blindfold to eat it but the way I looked at it was it all goes into your stoma and mixes up in there so as along as it tastes good who cares how it looks...and by then it had been 30 days since I had had anything to chew..I was ready to eat!! I wish you the very best!
