Throwing up

Hi, my name is Rose and I was banded June 30, 2009. I have lost 94lbs and feel good. However, there are some days where I throw up almost everything I eat. I do not eat bread, tortillas etc. Some days I can tolerate a Lean Cuisine pasta and the next day I can't. I am becoming frustrated and don't know what to eat anymore that will not cause me to throw up...does anyone else have this issue??? PS This is my first time posting anything on this site!!!

Hi Rose.

Congrats on your weight loss that is fantastic.

I do the same thing alot. There is no rhyme or reason and my dr doesn't know why I do it either. He said if I keep doing it we are going to take a little fluid out but I don' t really want to do that. :)

I was banded on 06/15/09 and so far have lost 85lb... these last few weeks I was throwing up a little too much. I believe it was the stress of my husband having a double stroke in July, 2010. ( he is doing much better now) the doctor said the stress and the throwing up must have swollen my pouch, so he took out 1.1 cc. He said to give it a few weeks for the swelling to down, and then I can get a fill again. Maybe you just need a break, just be aware of what you get during the mean time!

Not good. If you are chewing and eating the way you should be (slow and steady), I'd definitely get in there for a little unfill, or at least consult. I was warned the last time I was in -- throwing up is VERY BAD for the band, not to mention your health!

Good luck, take care!

I'll ditto what Sandra said...if you're eating properly (I had to 'relearn' how to eat after each fill) then you need a tiny unfill. PB's/vomiting can cause complications and you don't want that! -BG
