Pre-Op Day 2

OK...It's Day 2 of the Pre-Op diet...and overall, feel pretty good. I just started getting a little hungry feeling this afternoon. I took the day off from work b/c I had two Dr's appointments this morning (one was my pre-testing for surgery next week, the other was my last appointment before my surgery), so I took the whole day off. I am getting the rumbly tummy today....mainly while watching tv and seeing ads for all sorts of yummy looking food! haha...Oh, mannn....this is going to be a long 9 days.

Anywayyy...next Tuesday is the big day! I am SO excited to finally begin!!! It's been a long time a'comin! I started this journey in January when I began to do research on the band and it seems like it was never going to come. Now, I am finalizing plans for my surgery and have actually begun the pre-op diet.

I am praying that I don't mess up on the pre-op diet!

Anyway, I'll keep you posted with my week!

LAP-BAND Patients

You will learn significant remote thumb control -- switching from commercials that have anything remotely tasty very very very quickly!

Good luck on your pre-surgury activities, stay focused!

LAP-BAND Patients

There are a few words of advise I can offer. I was banded on 6/21/10 and have lost around 22 lbs so far. First, you must drink your 64 oz a day. That will help keep you full. You can do 2-3 of protein shakes a day and if you make them thick that will also help. After surgery you will be filled with gas for about a week. Make yourself get up and walk during TV commercials - its the only way to void the gas.

This is such a gift - the week or two of liquids is a pain, but your goal is to lose the weight and this helps. Good luck.
