Month since surgery

It’s been almost a month since my surgery.

Have lost 25 lbs so far...my band is currently empty...was emptied by surgeon the day of my surgery as I was not able to keep anything down.

I did go down 30lbs but have gained 5 back once I got some solids in me...as I was craving lots of things.

When I went for my 2 week post-op appointment, I got yelled at for trying solids too early. :) and was warned about the band slipping if I keep doing that.

I go for my first fill tomorrow. I am a bit nervous but only because I hate needles. :smile2:

LAP-BAND Patients

Hi Seby, I haven't had a fill yet either, but have read lots of posts from other folks who say it's not bad. And Blondi just posted one saying that they give a "numbing' shot before the fill needle, that sounded reassuring to me. You will do fine . . follow the rules . .. and good luck!

Thanks Marw.

Yes, they did offer me the numbing shot...but i refused...i figured, why get stuck twice? :)

The fill was a walk in the park...i didn't feel a thing. My port is very accessible they said and i was out of there in 30 minutes (including xrays).

I ended up ging in a lot less nervous than pre-blog post. After reading the forums and your reply, i was not that worried. THANK YOU ALL!:)
