I'm hungry

Hi all, I am new to this blog. I had my lap band surgery last Monday the 19th. I am now eating, cottage cheese, protein shakes, pudding, jello and water, water, water. But I still am hungry? What should I be doing? Do I get to eat more often until I am eating more solid foods? Any advice would be great.

Welcome to bandster hell. The point where your swelling and such goes down and you don't have any or much of a fill and you're hungry hungry hungry and have no restriction. Just so you know, you're normal and it does get better! As far as eating more often what did your doc say? If I remember correctly my doc wanted me to go 4+ hours between meals but I was averaging about every 2 because, like you, was starving. Good luck, just rmember it does get better and it is so worth it!

LAP-BAND Patients

We all love food and we are all hungry it is REAL. Yes, you are in a band hell if you will. I think about food all the time. My goal was to be a smaller person. The band has helped me become the size person I want to be. I have been banded a year and have lost 110 pounds and where it went I have no idea. All I know is I eat small and now I am small. I like what the band has helped me accomplish. Keep busy and try not to think about food that is what I have to do every day. You can do this remember to follow the rules and eat what and when you supposed to. Best wishes imaluckydog
