One Step Closer

End of day 5 on my pre op diet. My doctor has me on atkins and im down 9 lbs already. I have a craving for bread or some pasta, but ive Done well and havent had anything that im not supposed to. I dont get banded til the 28th. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 in the morning, first one of the day. They are going to make me spend the night because of my sleep apnea, that part i dont care for to much because my parents are coming cross country and will arrive the day before, but i guess its only one night. Im so excited, i know my husband is so tired of me talking about it. He told me tonight that between him, my parents and his parents im the only one who is excited about this. HECK YES i dont care who else is excited for me it's the start of the new me. I know you all are are excited for me as i am for you.

Hope you all have a great night.

LAP-BAND Patients

The Adkins Diet is great for before Surgery, I followed it too and lost about 15 lbs before the date of my surgery, it helps to shrink the liver and keep it out of the way, no carbs is not really good for us all the time, but temporarily it is! I used the Adkins even after the surgery to speed up my weight loss and keep my protein intake up, but brought my carbs up gradually to 50-60 grams per day and I feel satisfied. I have lost 85 lbs in 10 1/2 months and still losing only about 5 lbs. per month. I am content and happy with that, Welcome to the LapBand for Lifers Club! God Bless and keep.
